Attorney N. Diane Holmes Achieves Board Certification in Family Law

ORLANDO, Fla. (January 28, 2015) — The N. Diane Holmes, P.A. Family Law Group is pleased to announce that founder N. Diane Holmes has joined an elite group of trial attorneys. She successfully achieved board certification as a family trial advocate through the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA) which is the highest, most stringent, and most reliable honor an attorney can achieve. Ms. Holmes is now among the approximately three percent of American lawyers who have illustrated a commitment to bettering the legal profession by completing a rigorous application process and providing the consumer with an objective measure by which to choose qualified and experienced legal counsel. The NBTA was formed out of a strong conviction that both the law profession and its clients would benefit from an organization designed specifically to create an objective set of standards illustrating an attorney’s experience and expertise in the practice of trial law. The elaborate screening of credentials that all NBTA board certified attorneys must successfully complete includes: demonstration of substantial trial experience, submission of judicial and peer references to attest to their competency, attendance of continuing legal education courses, submission of legal writing documents, proof of good standing, and passing of an examination. A graduate of the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law, Ms. Holmes also earned her Bachelor of Arts (with Honors) degree there. She was the first female lawyer in Central Florida to hold a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers designation. She is also consistently selected for inclusion in Florida Super Lawyers and is held in high regard by her peers with the coveted 5.0 Martindale-Hubbell peer rating for “high ethical standards and professional ability.” Additionally, Ms. Holmes is board certified in Marital & Family Law by The Florida Bar and is a certified family mediator for the Supreme Court of Florida.
